Intranets that Have an Impact

For many years, intranets have languished within organisations as a dumping ground for documents, and a source of corporate news.

In recent times, however, there has been a big shift in working practices. Collaboration and social tools have come to the fore, and staff productivity has become paramount. Modern intranets are responding to these changes, driven by great design and IA.

This talk will share the leading edge of intranets, sharing real-world screenshots from the global Intranet Innovation Awards (and beyond). The importance of IA within organisations will also be explored, and how design matters for staff, not just for customers. A mix of practical advice and inspiration, this talk is a must for any IA's working in an enterprise context.

About EuroIA

Over the past nine years, we have broken down cultural barriers, initiated dozens of conferences across Europe, and forged careers. We are proud of our accomplishments, but we know we can achieve even more.

Today, our focus is on breaking down global barriers and sharing information far beyond European borders. This is why our programme now features presentations from the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Rim.

Yet we remain European. So, what is “Europe”? In terms of geography, we’re east of Greenland, west of Moscow, south of the Artic, and north of the Mediterranean. But the geography is secondary. “Europe” is more a state of mind than an area on a map. But that doesn’t make it less distinct.

Learn. Share. Network. That is what we help you do. And we hope to see you in Edinburgh.
