Being an Evil Mastermind — The Methods that Nobody Talks About, but are Crucial for Success

This presentation is about the methods, that maybe ethically questionable, but are crucial to use and be prepared to defend against, if you want to succeed and reach your goals.

For years we're discussing and improving the methods to successfully create great information architectures, user's experiences, reaching conversion goals of our bosses/clients and so on. We've brought it to quite some level and meanwhile we feel very confident, in what we're doing and why we're doing it. But right beneath this discipline focussed methods we struggle like everybody else.

How do we get the decisions we need from our clients? How can we prevent, that someone totally incompetent gets the leadership? How do we get the time and budget we actually need to achieve greatness? In the spirit of Peter's Principle and Parkinson's Law, I want to present some methods everybody absolutely needs in today's success driven business world. While the talk will be filled with mordacity and sarcasm, the essence is valid, dead serious and more true to live than you will like.

About EuroIA

Over the past nine years, we have broken down cultural barriers, initiated dozens of conferences across Europe, and forged careers. We are proud of our accomplishments, but we know we can achieve even more.

Today, our focus is on breaking down global barriers and sharing information far beyond European borders. This is why our programme now features presentations from the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Rim.

Yet we remain European. So, what is “Europe”? In terms of geography, we’re east of Greenland, west of Moscow, south of the Artic, and north of the Mediterranean. But the geography is secondary. “Europe” is more a state of mind than an area on a map. But that doesn’t make it less distinct.

Learn. Share. Network. That is what we help you do. And we hope to see you in Edinburgh.
